FitSteps – Low Impact

fitness classes leeds

If you prefer a slightly easier pace or want to avoid high-impact exercise, our FitSteps low impact class is perfect for you. You will still get all the benefits of FitSteps, but with moves that are gentler on your body and joints. It is an excellent choice for those who want a great fun-filled workout - just without the high impact.

Our low impact class is aimed towards those who want to exercise at a steadier pace without putting a lot of strain and weight through their muscles and joints. Low-impact exercise increases your heart rate slowly and causes less pressure on the body. It can be hard to find this style of exercise that is fun, lively, and sociable and still gives you measurable results. It’s the ultimate combination of fitness and fun!

What else do i need to know

Once you’re signed up to a class, what do you need to know to prepare for your first session?

First of all, you'll need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for dancing. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes that fit securely and do not have too much grip. Plimsolls, for example, are fine to start with. We do not recommend sandals or flip-flops as they can easily fall off when dancing. If you decide further down the line that you would like to invest in some dance shoes, a member of our team can advise on that. There is no need for formal ballroom shoes at the beginner stage.

The same goes for clothing, choose something you are comfortable in and that you can move freely in, loose clothing or sportswear is ideal.
